My grandson was born at 2:52 pm and passed away at 3:33 pm. He was 4.7 pounds and 16.5 inches long.

I was unable to attend the birth and I’m counting it as a mixed blessing. I wish that I could have been there for the kids – especially my son. But, I think I likely would have been a mess and that probably wouldn’t have been very helpful.

We plan to take a trip to see them next week.
